I'm starting to like Jet drives

Glad to see you back, I have been wondering how the boat was coming along. Cant wait to see pics of the progress.

Next step will be stringers, i think?

It's almost time to put the stringers in. I'm not sure what to use as the bedding compound :irked: not sure what to use when I wrap them in. Think I will stick with the epoxy for all of the under the floor stuff. I like the working time you have with epoxy vs poly. Poly can kick off a lil fast some times. That could be bad on a first time big project. I like the x-tra room a slow cure epoxy can give you. I wanna get the floor in then flip it over and start working on the bottom. I really need to start looking for a rolling trailer LOL LOL:banana:

Mix epoxy with cavasil??? not sure of the spelling, but is tiny glass beads that make a paste when mixed with resin......use for bedding on rails, use also to make bevels under glass work for inside corners so the glass fibers do not break apart when drying on 90 deg bends

Great job on the build. I have always been a fan of the old glastrons, grew up on a old tri hull with a 115 mariner on back. I also know about the X as I just finished up my divorce about 4 months ago. I lost all my toys:pissed: but my yellow fiero. I have since built up my toys again with bigger and better toys!

Anyways keep up the great job:cheers

Southern Hotboats

Went to an event the first weekend of Aug at High Rock lake in NC. That got me all pumped up to get some work done!
We took my friends v-drive hydro down and it was the only prop boat there.

First time looking at this post. Really like the touches of detail being put into your boat. kind of gets me pumped re-do mine enven though it's not a jet. Nice transition on the scope into the original body contours.

Can't wait to see the completed project.

Jet Project

Thank You Remlinger!
Now all I need to do is find some time to Work On it !! Love the Enchanters, they are way cool boats. I did order a new part yesterday. My band new Place Diverter is on the way from Southern Cal.

Project Boat

I did bed the stringers in on monday and went to see my glass man. Came home with 3 trash bags 1/2 full of stitch mat, roven woving and chop mat. This should be enough for the entire project and then some. He gave me a heck of a deal on cut off's. Bedding the stringers in didn't go as smooth as I had hoped but could have gone worse. Good thing I used the slow cure epoxy. That gave me just enough time to get everything situated. The boat is outside so some rain has got me grounded today. Hope to make some progress on the darn this week. Found a good deal on a 20' Pro Craft bass boat trailer and hope to pick it up next week. The trailer the boat is on is a junker that is only being used as a build platform. Will try and get some pics together as things poke along :)

Project Boat

This is the trailer that I am picking up next week. Hope it's not a bad investment, asking price is $500 bucks. The trailer is about 2 hours away so all I have to go on is the pics and the man's word. Not much work getting done on the boat this week, 4th day of rain in a row .

Thunder on the James Pics

Just got home from a Southern Hotboat enent in NC. Everyone had a good time except one boat. His STV or SVT whatever they are called got T-totally spanked in a race with one Bad Ass TX tunnel jet. It's the 702 boat in the first pic. I will be sure to post a link to the vid when they finally get it up on the net. It was bad
