Thank you for the pics, that is a beauty! I have seen only one or two of them before. One was for sale on Ebay and one was in the Boat trader. Did you list your XK 19 in the Boat trader when you sold it? know I have seen that pic somewhere before. Was it sold just a few years ago? Never got to see one in the flesh but would like to! That is one very sharp old school family jet.

OK that's close, now just lower the front on down until it makes contact with the top of the windshield frame then stretch the back out some and make it sweep way down toward the back of the boat

Need some jet info
Not looking to get a jet built to drag race, I need someone knowledgable about jet models and some questions about what pump will adapt to the boat configuration. Not trying to step on the thread but i figured those who are following this one have some info. (besides, bimini's don't have nuttin to do with jetboats either....LOL)

Go to http://www.hotboat.com or http://www.performanceboats.com and check out the jet forums. Plenty of good information can be found there. I think you will find that the best set up for a jet boat is a Berkley pump, BBC power and wet headers.

I did sell the boat a few years ago on ebay, after I did a few more popped up, but they were all small blocks either volvo IO or jets...when I bought it I had no idea what it was nor did the guy I got it from....did some research and thru the chris craft museum they were able to tell me all about it, and I bought a original sales brochure, the delivery papers and some other interesting tid bits....truely was very rare....wish could have kept it and repainted it back original...oh well....

No idea now, the guy I sold it to, in MD called me about a year later wanted to know if I wanted to buy it back, but at the time I had no intrest....so I assume he sold it and never heard any more on it....still would like to know myself....but like i need another project !!!! boating and racing are bad enough !!! Hi Gang, Happy New Year!
So who's looking forward to spring? I'm ready to get back to work on the project boat. The Engine is just about ready to come out of the machine shop and it's about time. Should end up with a really nice short block and heads, hope they live! Have a few last things to get for the engine but no big deal. Still need a starter, alternator, bracket, fuel pump, cap, coil, plugs and wires. The darn thing will be 100% new inside. Only thing that was reused is the 454 block Mahale coated pistons with good file fit rings, Howards 4340 H beam rods. Clevite H series rod and main bearings, GM steel crank, Durabond coated cam bearings, Felpro performance gasket set, Cometic head gaskets, Comp cams high energy push rods, Custom ground Clay smith cam, Clay smith lifters and springs, Big stainless valves, bronze guides, Comp cams guide plates, 7/16 Arp screw in studs, Crane gold roller rockers, Pete Jackson loud cut gear drive, Milodon oil pan oil pump and pick up, Milodon billet dip stick, Weiand team G intake, Fresh Holley 850 double pumper, Trans Dapt twin remote oil filter kit, Old school Corvette air cleaned with a big K&N filter, Old school M/T valve covers with the drippers removed to clear the rockers, Polished Edelbrock high rise breathers, ARP polished stainless fastener kit. I want to run the classic T-handles on the valve covers, also need to get them. The one thing that is going to kill the engine is the exhaust I'm running 
I'm going back with the logs and risers, I will open the risers up at the back to 3" and run big 4" tips but that won't help much. Wish this was an open header boat! I did test fit 2 kinds of high performance exhaust but they just didn't work out with my hull and engine compartment. Oh well it should be a fun 20" lake boat when it's all done. It better run 70 or I will be

Hey, don't want piss on your party, but I don't think you will hit 70..sorry..I've played with a few of these things over the years and your 20' is heavy by jet boat standards as was my chris...it ran 60. Then I did a 17 starbuck with a mild 468, good cam, tunnel ram open headers, stock pump and 70 was all that that would run....but I hope I'm wrong for you !! heres a shot of the starbuck, Rob

70 would be nice but 60's should be easy. Hell a bone stock CVX20 will run 55 + with a factory E pump and factory 320 horse 460. I'm thinking my hull should end up about 150 lbs less than factory, now add pump, ride plate and loader upgrades also add 200 plus horses!............ It should roll along pretty good for a big boat. I totally understand how inefficient a jet pump is and how much horse power it eats, keeping my finger crossed for a fun ride with the finished product
