Hot D, yes I am restoring the 2800sx. after running my cobalt for 35 hours so far this year i have found a few things that i dont like about the cobalt boats and the big one is the gel finish, just doesnt shine like my 2100BR did after 7 years of use. the rigging (electrical) is a fricken joke. When you look up under the dash it is just one big jumble of wires not at all what i expected out of a 95000 dollar boat. As for the ride it is a wave crusher but when trimmed up at crusing speeds it feels very unpredictable and slippery no where near the solid but light feeling of a mate. The wife and I have spoken many times on htis subject and she is all for another checkmate as long as it has a sun pad and swim deck this time and no outboards, so... I was thinking a nice red 260 with a 600SCI breathing under the hatch but I wont do it unless the 600 fits good and will not settle for the 565, I need or rather want the blower motor for when I go to Tahoe elevations with it plus it would be oh so cool. plus it will tide me over till 2015 when I get to order my338 skater with twin 700's

Sorry to hear about the Cobalt, I always thought they were nice boats but I never really got in one and gave it the up close look.

You have a serious boat budget my friend. I am totally jealous.

Good luck.

Thanks Brian for the Thanks. Its Nice to Feel Appreciated. Sammie Action Marine
No problem Sammie, I had asked about fitment of the 600sci but didn't get a direct answer. Was not sure if there would be issues with the blower height or not! :bigthumb:

Bravo1, I'd love the chance to work some numbers for you and try to earn your business :)

Brian I will be shopping for sure and will give you guys a shot as well. If you could get a boat show schedule put up on this site for checkamte appearances would really like to see this 26 in person before I commit to any thing

Your best bet is to go to ohio to the factory. Boat shows aren't really worth the time and effort for this type boat. Call the factory and set up a time for you to go see everything you could want to see.

Thank You Jeff

Sammie, thanks for posting those pics man, that is sharp!! I love those graphics, very classy looking, yes the red works really well on that hull!! I think i just found my "lottery" boat lol, maybe someday i'll win! What's that one powered with? Awesome boat Checkmate, keep'em coming! :thumb:

Wow

Holy Cow, did that make a difference.

I was luke warm on these new boats. The other graphic packages were nice but did not do it for me. But this, I love it. Looks like they stole the paint from the old Cig Bullets and it looks great. I could dream about getting this one.

Thanks, Sammie for keeping us updated, I had written off any desire for one of these hulls, but now... I want one.

Thank You

Thank You Guys for the Kind Words on My Post. I Really Appreciate all Your Thanks. Have a Great Weekend and Best Wishes Always Your Friend Sammie Action Marine

Sammie thanks for the pics i love it there is an old school Cig with that color and stripe it is an instant classic. also thank you for everything you have brought to this industry over the years

Thanks Sammie for another great update......

I also love the red & white scheme {yup it is from a classic cig} --- it does make the boat look more like a real performance boat.

However, I'm still not sure about the horse head logo on the sides.

The red and white is sick!
Now instead of buying a 38 top gun with that paint scheme I'll just wait ten more years until there are some of these laying around used! :)
