Tri-mate 2 over haul.

No real updates, been working to much. I have managed to get a little DA time in. Bottom is in great shape for a 29 year old boat. I have some scratch's to fill, it looks like they where from the trailer. All in all not bad.

Hard work does pay off. Here is a before and after pic of my MX-15.

Very nice. Mine is getting there, spent the morning sanding. The bottom is now completly sanded. Got up to the bow and found that my anchor/trailer eye had broken the fiberglass around where it is mounted. So I had to crawl under the boat and remove it. Got the first layer of glass on the crack and reinforced it on the underside. Ran around with some duraglass to fill in the scratchs.

just curious...

Well another day spend sanding, filling, sanding some more. Getting the strakes streight and cleaning up all the edges. Filling in all the scratch's that happened over the years. Its getting there. Slowly.

I'll be ready. The bottom is almost done except for the pad. I have not started on that just yet. Getting all the strakes to a knife edge is taking longer than I thought. What a pain, but it should pay off in the long run.

Update:
Well the sanding continues. Bottom was not as smooth as it looked. The strakes where really rounded. They are not anymore.
Nice and sharp now. Still sanding down the high spots and filling in the low spots. Oh the joy. Guys if i ever get a wild hair and deside do do another project like this again. SLAP me.
