Tri-mate 2 over haul.

Notice where the ski pole main bar is mounted in the prior picture. Now look at the new picture. I hope you won't be able to tell there was anything done.

Still working on that. I may use my cherrypicker and put the jackplate on and use that. Or get a buch of people and just lift it. I still have to build the stands it will sit on. Should be a challange.

I guess you could build some type of rotisserie. My old Mustang magazines had some plans for flipping cars. The basic premise was two stands, one on each end that you bolted on to the car and then you could literally spin the car over and lock it in place.

As with most things in magazines, they are often awesome ideas, but building the darn thing would be almost as much work as the rebuild itself.

Should not be to bad of a job. I can lift the stern off the trailer and the bow is even lighter. So with a little luck it should not be a problem. The fun part will be flipping it back over and getting it on the trailer. With the new paint it should be a trick to not scatch the dam thing.

Did you let the cat out of the bag yet as to what color your new boat is going to be?I may have missed it,I keep forgetting about multiple page posts.

Cat is not out of the bag yet. It will be a eye opener and with all new rigging it should look good.

I'll think its gonna be an old mopar color. Like lime green, plum crazy purple,Tor red or curious yellow.

Maybe with a bunch of pearl metallic flakes thru out? Am I close Gus

Theres a lot of choices out there with todays technology in paints.

Mopar Purple would be interesting.

Do you have an estimate on when this bad boy is going to be done.Should probably go ahead and reserve that month as "BOTM" as I got a feeling it will be well deserved.I imagine there will be so much pride in the finished product as compared to just going out a buying a boat someone else did......

Ahh yes, the mother mopar colors. I already have a car thats plum crazy purple. The boat will be a mopar color. It will be bright.
I am shooting for march completion date. Sooner if I can stop fooling with it, I keep making improvements.
The big hard stuff is completed. Now its a matter of the details.

What kind of paint do you have to use on a boat? Can you use regular automotive paint with a clearcoat over it?I would like to have Checkmate redo the bottom of my Predictor but I don't think I could afford it,maybe I will try it one of these days myself.I did paint a 74 Corvette hugger orange and black.I painted the old Checkmate the same color with metal flake in it and it looked pretty good......

bdusted, what do you have that is step by step. I am always looking for information.
Erik, Nope, but good guess.
