Tri-mate 2 over haul.

Bringing the middle lifting strake all the way back to the transom will be the BEST mod you did! Looks great.

The pad might have to be shaved down if it's too hard to balance on being that high, but you've got some solid depth to work with right?

The gun I am using is a husky HVLP gun, works great. Had to thin the epoxy primer down a bit to get it to lay right. Those hvlp guns are great. Almost no over spray.
JW, When I built the pad I ground down the point of the "V" untill it was flat. The wood sitting on top is 3/4 ply. I then layed about a 1/4 of biaxle on top of that. The sides make it look high as its boxed in to make it stronger. I am thinking that the tricky part is going to be in the weight distribution. I think wiht a bunch of testing I should be able to drive it. If not, well I will look dam cool going 40.

WOW looks great. you could almost just leave it as is!
I don't mean to be critical or anything but the pad looks bigger on the left side. I could be wrong but that's how it looks in some of the photos.
I CANT WAIT TO SEE THE YELLOW

Good eye Boston. It is about 1/4" off center. Found this out after it was all glassed in. I may have to set the boat up to compinsate for it. Will not know if its a factor untill I get it wet.

Well the 1st 2 coats of black are on. Only have one run in the paint. Glad its single stage. It will come out when its color sanded. Sure is black. The cowl got 2 coats as well. Waiting an hour and going to lay the next 2 coats. Then after the fog clears I will get some pictures posted. Stay tuned the sag continues.....

The last coat of black is now on. I am sitting her radiating paint fumes. Nice smell in the afternoon.
Going to pull the tape about 7:30. Pictures posted at 8pm.
Shooting the yellow should be fun, going to do that tommarro.

Just came in from sprayin gthe 1st 2 coats of yellow. WOW, sure is yellow. Spent the morning tape off the black. That was almost as much fun as tapeing it off the 1st time. Going back out to spray the next 2 coats. AHHHH the smell of paint fumes in the morning.
