Yellowfiero's enchanter resto!

There is some beautiful quality workmanship going on with this Enchanter.

Actually this first time I've seen this thread ---- spent this morning reading it from the beginning and it's been a GREAT read.

You and Rob B have been doing a great job on this beauty ---- and I think it was Rob B earlier in this thread that said this Enchanter has the best flake color ever made, Ooooo, I definitely agree.

Would love to hear a little of the experience with the motherland -- my guess is your getting some great service from them.

Oh, and about that red mota --:drool::drool::drool:

thanks Kurt

All I can say is kip and Dean are great to deal with. I was going to tackle the reflake myself but by the time I bought the material, spray gun, and screwed it up learning....... it was cheaper to have them do it! They are slow now so I am all about supporting them when I can so that hopefully they are there when we need them in the future 🐐.
So far the mota is only dry assembled. Still have several parts to powder coat and a gasket kit to buy 😈

Nice idea with the seat bases. Those little custom touches are what really set it apart and make it your own

Those gutted hull pics look all too familiar!!!

looking good brian!

taking the check to mama in ohio is a great choice!

i am busy with a inflatble project. Narwhal rib of 17ft. Narwhal HD520 rib.
for simple towing tubes and playwork for the kids.
found out this morning that the floor is soft and the water is coming out of the hole of the centre console.
so that with the tube replacement is is in money as much as a new one.
taking all the parts off and a ride to the garbage man is next for the hull.
in money its still a good deal because of all the parts of the hull. from anchor to electric wiring everything is on it.
thinking of buying a new one.

Brian and I replaced the floor, stringers and core from the console back to the transom, plus motor mounts. The core was wet damn near the whole bottom. We decided the best thing to do is remove all of the core and replace it while the boat was opened up. The transom was in fantastic condition. The whole job took to weekends, one to do the tear down and the other to rebuild. That was a fun project, got to hang out with Dave and Brian those two weekends. Brian might have some pictures of the job.

NO Brian, don't cut that beautiful long Enchanter deck open!!!! LOL i think i would actually cry if i saw that! That's what they made the Entertainer for!! :poke: All joking aside, that is gonna be a wild ride!! The work looks top notch man, you sure know what you're doing!! Looking forward to seeing more progress on that flaked beauty!!! :thumb:

I think I lost most of them on my droid. What I posted are the only ones left. I didn't go nuts on taking a bunch either since there are so many resto threads on here. Could be the fact of my hands being super sticky with resin ;) Yes, was a blast hanging out with Robby. Project went very quick and without problems. I redesigned everything that was replaced. Floor has no locker, seat bases have storage under the front and slides, flotation boxes lowered, and motor mounts are now offshore style. Anything that I had issues with on the green boat was addressed with the setup here.

As soon as checkmate is done with it, I will have a bunch of updates as I am building the motor bracket, rigging and break in of everything. I hope to have it together by early spring 2015 :surf:

Thanks for the update. :)

I'll look forward to seeing how things turn out.

I'm sure it will be awesome like all your other projects. :thumb:

From there the seat bases were rebuilt and changed. The seats will be mounted without the pedestals but will be on sliders. This will keep the seat from rocking and spinning while running.

That left everything ready in the interior but the transom needed gel goat since I relocated the exhaust to clear the IMCO hydro steering and also to be below the water line at idle!

The transom was filled with wood then glassed over. I did this then block sanded and filled again till it was smooth. From there I made the choice to take it back to the motherland and have checkmate do the flake and gel repair!

Rocking and rolling up the express way, we got spy pics taken of us.

So one last thing to post and that's the power. What I want just wont work but there is another option that I am going with. Tune port injection! Well the Camaro wont flow enough on NA to support the power so I am going to step up to the Holley Avenger Stelth Ram setup http://www.summitracing.com/parts/hly-550-822/overview/. Should work and look good ;)

Oh You want to see motor pics???

Ground on the block to smooth it out, get rid of the rust pits and casting edges before I painted it a devil color

Damn I love the look of the tune port and the lighten headers. Add in the mods and everything else and this is going to be a little beast. Wonder what would happen if I ended up using a procharger

I still have a lot of powder coating to do, bolt the motor together, do final white gel spray in the engine compartment, build my "one off" off-shore motor mount system. Once Dean is done with the enchanter, I'll drag it home and start drilling holes and mounting all the hardware. That alone is enough to clean out half of the garage floor, LOL:banana:
Are those Chinese heads ???:rof:
Looking awesome !!!

I just took the time to go through and read the whole thread. Wow what a great job you've done so far. Your modern touches and classic look are fantastic. She's truly a beautiful boat. Good luck on the rest of it when you get back.:thumb: Jim

Very enjoyable thread. The boat looks great. Is it still up at 'mate?
Thanks. Yep, she's still up there. I'm in no hurry as I'm concentrating on closing on my property. From there, I got a small shed workshop to get set up on the subdivision sized lot! :rof:
Are those Chinese heads ???:rof:
Looking awesome !!!
LOL, they're made in America with parts from Malaysia, Taiwan, Russia, and France. Assembly by Japanese workers who were supervised by German boss....:eyecrazy:

OK, maybe American made ernson heads set up for marine use. 🐐🐐😉🐐🐐

FOR THE LOVE OF EVERYTHING HOLY, DON'T CUT THE DECK!!! Knowing your work though Brian, I am sure it would look great...it would break a lot of hearts if that beautiful gel coat was bit into though!
