Yellowfiero's enchanter resto!

You have no idea how old you just made me feel Spence.

My apologies:p you have no idea how young this just made me feel:poke: Thanks, I was actually feeling old this morning looking at my sleeping son as I was leaving for work and how big he has gotten:thumb:

You ain't pimpin' unless you got the in dash 8 track with the 8 track to cassette thing stuffed in her.

OK, I been tinkering again!

Eddie marine billet battery tray is Sw-eeeee-tt!! Tomorrow I am going to do some more scrubbing on the engine compartment as well as some gloss black touch up. Also need to secure the battery cables as well :)

Did I mention I took her for a spin tonight?? :surf:

lookin good brian! glad to see you are not letting it get too dusty. you may want to cut those studs off flush with the nuts before you (or the ranger) cut your head....... ouch!!!

how did the ride go? feel like a fat guy in a little suit after running you 283?

That sums it up!
I need to measure the nose as I really feel this one is shorter than the green boat. Maybe it was an optical delusion! I will say it is fun running a small boat, in smooth water. It was a very slow and boring ride compared to the green boat. That one was a beast to the low 70's when the outdrive started working against itself. I do happen to have that motor laying around but not sure it will make its way in the boat at this point. :)

If thinks go well, I will be back down to one boat before the end of the week:thumb:

Guess there has been some minor updates and since several people have asked what's going on with it.....
Rob B came up and helped gut the hull

With the bad core out, the new wood went back in. I was amazed that the boat is a 1985 and the floor, stringers, and foam was dry. It has never been opened up or replaced until now. the reason for the wet core was the gas tank screws went down and into the core, 1 even going through the hull.....

Lots of laminations make for a strong checkmate :D

From there the seat bases were rebuilt and changed. The seats will be mounted without the pedestals but will be on sliders. This will keep the seat from rocking and spinning while running.

That left everything ready in the interior but the transom needed gel goat since I relocated the exhaust to clear the IMCO hydro steering and also to be below the water line at idle!

The transom was filled with wood then glassed over. I did this then block sanded and filled again till it was smooth. From there I made the choice to take it back to the motherland and have checkmate do the flake and gel repair!

Rocking and rolling up the express way, we got spy pics taken of us.

So one last thing to post and that's the power. What I want just wont work but there is another option that I am going with. Tune port injection! Well the Camaro wont flow enough on NA to support the power so I am going to step up to the Holley Avenger Stelth Ram setup http://www.summitracing.com/parts/hly-550-822/overview/. Should work and look good ;)

Oh You want to see motor pics???

Ground on the block to smooth it out, get rid of the rust pits and casting edges before I painted it a devil color

Damn I love the look of the tune port and the lighten headers. Add in the mods and everything else and this is going to be a little beast. Wonder what would happen if I ended up using a procharger to force its hands

Time for a goat nap...

I still have a lot of powder coating to do, bolt the motor together, do final white gel spray in the engine compartment, build my "one off" off-shore motor mount system. Once Dean is done with the enchanter, I'll drag it home and start drilling holes and mounting all the hardware. That alone is enough to clean out half of the garage floor, LOL:banana:

Let me know when ready to sell. I need a guick little river boat.
Wanting to keep it but really need an open bow with all my kids.... Me and Jessica, 5 kids, 3-boys.... 7,16, & 20! 2girls.....11 & 15:brickwall: Plus they always want to bring girlfriend, boyfriend, friends, etc.
I did buy a pair of Yamaha VXR pro 701's a few months back. best money spent as the kids will ride them all day, leaving it very quiet on the boat

As far as the boat goes, I thought about cutting the front deck out and adding seating. I know I can pull it off and it would still look good but not sure if I could bring myself to make the first cut:sick:. IDK, I am defiantly wanting to keep it for a few years before selling it :surf:

I'll be more than happy to come back and cut the bow open for ya!! :poke: I wanted to do the same with the Enforcer. Actually I'm looking for another with good power and interior. Then cut the deck and convert it to open bow.:thumb:
