1988 Vision redo

Your Vision came out very nice Kurt. Now its time to enjoy it! :thumb:
Thanks PC --- unfortunately there's still a ton of work before I get to enjoy it --- but at least most of the stuff left to do is the kind of stuff I enjoy most {engine work / drive work / interior work}.

So I still will be bothering everybody with this resto thread for another couple/few weeks :eyecrazy:

Looks great Kurt. You're probably glad to have it in the driveway where you can bask in the beauty. :bigthumb:

Thanks Mark,

At least now I can concentrate on things like the pad upholstery ---- you probably know the frustration I had with finding 3/16 inch stainless staples for my upholstery ---- I just don't know why they have to be sooo difficult to find ---- I ended up paying someone in a local marine upholsterer shop to give me some of his.
Home depot / Lowes / local hardware store / Staples / Tru Value / Ace Hardware --- nobody had anything less than 3/8 :yell:

I ran into the same problem with the staples when recovering my sled seat. Going to order some online for when I get new skins for my Liner.

Looks Great

Dear Kurt Your Vision Looks Totally Custom My Dear Friend. I Love it. You have a Very Beautiful Vision and I Wish You the Very Best Always Your Friend Sammie Action Marine

I know what you mean. I resorted to using some 1/4 steel staples and covering them with epoxy.

Yeah but they're in Massachusetts and you can't trust them Massholes anyway.

Boat's looking great! Hope to see it in person one day.

Looks great Kurt!Make sure your marina keeps the forks out of it!

Oh man, believe me I'm very nervous about that --- especially since I have them launch the boat a few times a week.
Last year they launched the Vision about 50 times, --- the more launches the better the odds of having an accidental fork poke :shakehead:

Unfortunately I don't have a truck powerful enough to do so much trailering, especially up and down the steep ramps around me.
Maybe next year I'll think about a nice large pull vehicle, but for this year I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed, and my gun loaded :)
{only kidding about the gun} :sssh:
