LAKE CUMBERLAND OWNERS RALLY 2013

Hey You can drive my boat so I can drink:cheers:

well i don't drink at all. :thumb: just kidding.

ticket cost is stupid. lexiton is twice the ticketprice compared to baltimore. still figuring it out. baltimore is a direkt flight so many go in on that airport. and than go further on a lokal flight.
across the big lake is not the money. getting further in is the money.
visa i have to check on that one too. need a adress to stay if i want to get into the country according to visa rules i've read. still searching.

You can check Dayton Ohio. I know I flew from Dayton to Baltimore for $69 one way to go pick up a truck I bought. And I live only 3 miles from the Dayton airport. So i could pick ya up and get ya down to YF88 or RNGRDVE for a ride to the lake. I would offer a ride doen, but due to upcoming events, I'm not 100% sure I will be able to make it. But I am 100% sure I could get you to someone that is!!!

Or you could just fly to Baltimore in June and attended a different boating event :thumb:

i saw that too. thought about that too. that date is not a right date for me. 6 events in booking on my transportcompany in those 2 weeks. too much to not be around that time. i already thought about that. for now i will take it like it is and take for me the only option. if my mother in law will come to us and take the kids those 6 days. so that welmoed, my wife, will go on working if thats a deal, i'm off. that's what im waiting for right now. and if it cost a 300 euro more on flight let it be.:thumb: nothing personally.

If you can make it you can use my home address as your destination if that helps.

that would help a lot! i'm coming from airport amsterdam and i heard that they pick you out every time on customs check. they do their checks, i don't care, i have nothing with that kind of smoking. i heard that from mirella, my ex girlfriend, who lives in the states now. (she helped me buying the senator in CT, what a girl.. ex girlfriend:D and still helping me.. lol.)

Well, right when we were feeling good enough to start making plans, Brian brought Hudy the goat out and it all went south from there. Then ndaniels started talking about nipples and it was all over. So not much planning got done.

What are you planning on doing as far as lodging? I for one will be finding a cove, dropping anchor and sleeping on the boat. But, if you are planning on getting a room, State Dock http://www.statedock.com/ has a very nice lodge and tons of covered slips and will be right in the middle of the mix for all the events of the weekend. Also, literally right next to State Dock is Jamestown Marina http://www.jamestown-marina.com/. They have very nice accomadations as well. Grider Hill http://www.griderhillmarina.com/ also has some nice lodging from what I hear, dont know first hand and is down right near the dam and also has lots of slips and they have camp sites as well. If you are planning on camping, Conley Bottom http://www.conleybottom.com/ has the best camping on the lake IMO. They are right in the middle of the lake and you would get some very good run time in staying there. You would probably be 30-45 minutes easy cruising from where most of the people will be meeting up. If you don't mind going even a little bit farther, there is Lees Ford Marina http://www.leesfordmarina.com/ They also have very reasonably priced lodging but are about an hour or more from the events by water. I will be coming from Burnside which is about 60-90 minutes from everything, but to me the cruise there and back is a big part of the fun, but like I said, I won't be making the trip back till the following morning which, to me, is some of the best running I have ever done. 60 miles of running on glass!!

Thanks Corey. That is alot more info than I could ever have tried to offer. Last year was the first time I had been to L.C. in many many years.

I am looking to get my place booked and open to suggestions. Ive never been there and it looks like Grider was good for you guys last year. We will be getting a room and want to be in the mix with everyone. If anyone wants to talk about it I can be reached at 810-875 -8483:cheers:

Well if the wife don't come I might sleep in the boat but if its a hundred degrees I'd rather have ac and a mattress. I guess I'll wait and see where more people are goin but I guess I'll plan on heading to grider hill...one question tho is there a breakfast buffet anywhere? Hangover breakfast rocks!

Grider has a decent little restaurant right on the dock with pretty darn good breakfasts. We did most of our meals there actually except for lunch or two at other destinations. It beats having to pack grills and food in coolers. Leaves more space for alchermahol that way!

Jamestown used to have an awesome breakfast. They still might, I just havent been there in a few years. State Dock also has an awesome buffet at the lodge, but I'm not sure about breakfast. And if you stay at State Dock/ Jamestown, you are only a 15 minute boat ride from Grider. I know Grider has a restauraurant, I have no experience with it, but I have heard good things about it.

O yeah gotta have me some good breakfast.169 more days give or take. I need to get working on the boat instead of watching everyone else do it. Another good reason to clean the garage.
