What do you pull your checkmate with??

We think alike. Im gonna surprise my wife with my famous "smothered and covered" grilled chicken breast with corn souffle'. Today is very nice here finally but workin a little longer.Peeling the boat cover when I get home later and start playin.

Helmich,

I noticed your trailer has an extention off the back with the lighting on it which extends beyond the drive.

Is that something that is mandated in your area? :)

That is the europe rules. Stupid rules if your asking me. There are five big differences with the US trailers. Too much cost to change that, so the US trailer had to go. Now i can go across borders in the EU without taking any tickets from the police.
I regret that the in my eyes better trailer had to go.

the brakes was electric on the us trailer. no go for EU.
the welding of the trailer was not documented. no go for EU.
no CE marks on the trailer. no go for EU.
no lights behind the last point of the boat. no go for EU.
the axels exeeded 2,5 meter totally with fenders. no go for EU.

i was a long time interested in buying a second hand RV in the US and ship it to holland. the problems your possibel getting into on the EU road rules and household rules are too many to mention. so that was the end of that one. (they see the RV not only as an car but also as a houshold. with the laws according to that to electric issues, safety issues on possible fire etc)

the US, Canada is not the same to the EU as it comes to laws. if youre asking me, they protect their industry overhere.
i loved the lower US trailer. this one is a dancing duck. ugly and horrible trailering.

I have 2 Silverados. 1 is my white 09 Z71 with the 5.3 that are known for using oil. I also have an 08 that is my every day driver that has the 4.8 and gets over 20mpg on the hwy. I have the 09 on the "oil consumption program" from my local dealer. They say it is normal to use 2 or so quarts between oil changes and how they can say it with a strait face and how they sleep at nite doing so is still a mystery to me. These 5.3 trucks are burning oil by the millions and still no recall. My 4.8 truck is amazing and everything is great. I bought both of these trucks brand new and consider my self a Chevy Man but just went to look at going back to Hemi Power.I had a new hemi quad cab and put 100k on it with absolutely no problems not even a brake job before trading in on a Silverado. I think all the new trucks have the good and bad but just cant see myself buying a V-6 truck. Seems to me alot of strain towing and longevity on a V-6. Just my 2 cents

No new tow rig yet but I did just pick up my truck from the dealer with a complete fresh rebuild on the motor. Last week my wife called me on her way home from work saying the truck lost oil pressure and pulled over. When I went to check on her the motor still had good oil level and "warranty". With all the run around I had been through with oil consumption I was actually happy with the situation and told her to drive towards home while I followed . Needless to say it was now ready for the motor problems to be addressed. I took it to a different dealer and the service department was amazing to work with and no questions asked .Everything new but the block and crank. Now I can trade it in soon on a new truck. Just wanted to give an update and Let everyone know GM took care of it like professionals. I am now looking at a New 2013 Rough Country Chevy  and just need to pull the trigger.

Got kicked out of the barn last weekend. I had to haul her over to a buddies place for a few weeks (I'm way behind). Any how, my 06 F150 was unusually clean so I had to take a pic.

I don't have my Predictor back together yet, but when it is I'll be pulling it with this. I have 37" tires here for it but I'm still waiting on the lift kit to get here from Icon. And yes, that is a short bed, regular cab, SuperDuty :D :

Yeah, I got bit by the diesel bug about 10 years ago and can't really drive a gas truck anymore; my checkbook hates me, lol.

yup hit me abot 5 years ago too. built a 05 ram into a 703hp 1553 tq at the wheels soot monster. ruined a marriage and a bank account quickly.

This was my second venture into a diesel truck:

It was a roughly 750-800hp 7.3. When I did the Diesel Power Challenge with it I literally blew up pretty much everything behind the engine and everything in front of the engine, lol.

Then when I finally got it home I found I had an intercooler pipe that was half off which accounted for the high temps and overheating as wall as the measily 600 on the dyno while spraying. :rof:

The red and black truck I posted is a 6.0 with about 450-500hp but I have some nice big injectors sitting here for it that should put it over 600 on fuel.
