Yellowfiero's enchanter resto!

Ordered my decals from EZSTRIPPER (Rob). He is making me up a little of this and a little of that to come up with one sweet set of new style decals :D Best of all, his prices are very reasonable and I know his quality is awesome!

Also did some BS'ing with MKHAMMER (Mike) and he is going to get a price for some of the bling items and gauges I am adding. Should have more info on what parts I am going with by next week :D

YF88 are you at liberty to say how much those decals are? I'm gonna need some myself for the registration numbers, checkmate logo and the boat name across the back.

What are your plans for the old interior? If you are interested in parting some of it out, I could really use some of those "buttons", as Checkmate calls them, that are on your side panels in the back. They look like the same size as the ones I missing on one of my upolstered cooler lids for my 'flite.

I ordered 11 decals for various things, a lot of them were 2 color decals and the trailer one was red flake vinyl. I will call you tomorrow night and give you Robs number. Those decals were very reasonable and his turn around time is great! :bigthumb: I love to keep boat money inside the checkmate community and with good guys who don't gouge on their prices, its easy

I'm going to sell it but hopefully as one unit. If I decide to part it out, I will let you know first .

Got the decals today and they look great. I might try and venture out tomorrow to the marina and install them.

Also talked to MK about the steering upgrade. I think I know the route I am taking but kind of hard to bite the bullet. I am going to sleep on it and then order it tomorrow I guess.....

Eddie Marine wish list is figured out. Going to go with black trim rings on everything and Polished SS parts. Pop up bow light, pull up cleats, fuel fill, gauge bezels, and grab handle for passenger.

Gauges are going to be livorsi silver carbon fiber with stainless rim. Then accented with black bezels. This will carry the red flake boat/black ring/polished look through out.

That will also complete all the upgrades for the boat for this year! I am wondering if I should remove the grab rail or not. I loved the look of the green boat but function of hanging fenders off it is nice. I also think this boat has more of a vintage look vs the modern look of the green boat. It should be easy to remove one side and see how it looks.........

Any input on grab rail removal????

IMO leave it on, I like the way it looks on here, and it is very functional, makes it easier to move the boat around near shore or tie it off to a dock, good for the kids to hang on to in the rough stuff too.

+1! I agree with John, leave 'em on! You hit the nail on the head Brian, vintage look vs. modern look! Don't get me wrong, i also liked the clean look of Wasted Income with no rails, but being a stock origional boat i'd leave them, maybe that's just the classic car guy side of me LOL.

Leave the rails on! In fact i wouldnt put too many modern touches on that boat at all. I would definitly leave the bow light, cleats and fuel fill original. I might upgrade the guages and "oh sh!+" handle but not much more than that.

I know you've got talent and don't doubt that it will turn out nice but it is very hard to mix old and new without looking "stuck inbetween". it has classic written all over it and i am absolutley in love with this boat just the way it is.

PLEASE KEEP IT CLASSIC

Keep the rails. I hate the fact mine does not have them. Makes climbing up on the nose a real pain when it is on the trailer. I have too much wax on it and my fat axx just slides off!

Also sucks when you are trying to handle it at the dock from the bow.... have almost broken a couple of fingers by getting them twisted while hanging on to those tiny cleats.

just my 2 cents....

Got the rest of my parts ordered over the past week. As always MK Hammer got what I needed!

Gauges are livorsi. Silver carbon fiber face with polished rim. These will also have a black bezel. 4 5/8" 80mph GPS speedo and 6k tach. 2 1/8" water temp, oil pressure, trim, volt, and fuel gauges. This will match my silver carbon fiber in the seats.

Also doing a steering upgrade. IMCO single ram full hydraulic setup. I had to go single because of the placement of the exhaust tips. Plus with the weight and size of the boat, IMCO said this setup will be plenty for up to 100mph+ That's faster than this one will ever go, LOL! I will have to mount the cyl up from where it should be and the dual setup would make it bind when trimmed up. IMCO and Mike (MK) is going to help with the install all the way and maybe with some luck, I might have the boat in IMCO's catalog next year ;)

My goal is to make it as safe as it can be. I was going to upgrade with this setup on the green boat over the winter. Guess this one is taking the place of the green boat. If all goes well, I will one day upgrade the motor to the 383 but its no time soon unless I have a major problem with the stock one.

Nice stuff!!!! Take a picture of the decals Rob sent!! Btw I need to get measurements for the registration #'s and name across the back so Rob can cut those out along with the others.:D
