checkmate weekend Chesapeake bash 2015

Since I,m coming so far this year and we always have to much stuff I'm going to wait till i get there and will run out and get whatever we need or forgot.

This time in a week i'll be on my way Maryland.

plenty of great liquor stores very close. and i have now found a bar on the Magothy that will sell you beer to go on the boat!

I was thinking of practicing my brisket on you 'po folks Friday night unless everyone would rather have ribs again. I'll ask Mrs. Spencer if she can make her famous Caesar salad.

Kris - I'll bring my smoker with me if you like.

I have actually thought something else to contribute with, come the evenings around the fire.:sssh:. Looks like I'll be flying solo again this year, The woman I was dating BTB (Before The Boat), she heads north to teach art to rich kids at that time of the summer. So her name was crossed off the very short list. I did meet a little fun unemployed ex-boater lady who would like to go (I haven't decided yet). The dozen texts I received after 1 date ain't helping the cause.:shakehead:

Please bring it along!
I'll bring along some chips/wood to smoke the turkey.

When are you planning to arrive?
We should be there early afternoon on Friday, so could set it up then to cook through the evening.

We've checked with the owner to see if they are ok with us bringing our dog for the weekend to the house. Anyone from last year may remember him - a gentle giant (Strider).

So if you have an issue, please PM me over the next few days.
Otherwise I will assume you are good with him being around.

Candace dropped off her horse in NC and is on the way up to detail her ride. I should be stopping by Saturday afternoon.

I'm trying to figure out what to bring food-wise.
Will be coming down friday night with Adam. His high school graduation STARTS at 3. :brickwall: So we probably won't be up till really late Friday.
If it's at all possible please save me a slice of Drops' smoked brisket (my favorite foodgroup in the world).
If I bring down a brisket will there be room to smoke it saturday with whatever else is being smoked?
We have a grill, yes? I'd be more than happy to start marinating a bunch of dead cow midweek if somebody gives me an idea of their preferences. (Think saturday night- we'll probably be splitting on Sunday)
Could somebody please give some ideas so that I don't just end up bringing down a bunch of burgers , chips, diet coke and brew (which I'm sure we'll already have too much of.)
So, how would a brisket and a few pounds of 3 day soy sauce/garlic marinated skirt or tenderloin be?
Any better ideas or suggestions?
Spence- would you ask Stephanie. If you're reading this.
See y'all soon! Anybody waterskiing?

I bought a seven pound brisket tonight and I'll get the same in ribs so there should be plenty for dinner and midnight snack. I don't have sides for Friday figured out so if there is a volunteer feel free to make it known. Spencer and family I think are not making it there until Saturday morning.

Will there be a smoker? If I bring down another brisket can we do it up Saturday? Too much brisket?
I'm only asking cause I'm a group food planning retard. ( pls. forgive the politically incorrect term. Perhaps we should say I'm "Nutritionally Challenged")
If it was just me I would happily eat smoked brisket 7 meals a day.
BTW- Tell Tasha I'm working on diagrams as we speak.
I'm not.
But I will.

I'll have my skis and rope.

Merc - bring the salads!

Sim - bring the brisket and the steak.
I'll be cooking the turkey on Friday, so it will be free to fire up on Saturday for your stuff.

If anyone has spare coolers, try to bring them - we'll have a lot of good food to keep cool from day to day and I'm sure the fridge will fill fast with milk etc.

Do you think about 5lb tubs potato and macaroni salad be enough for Friday night? I bring my ski
Does that mean you'll have waterskis?
Cause if you've got then it's one less thing for me to bring.
I'll bring scuba gear. It could save knarloid a fortune.
