CT RIVER CHECKMATE "EVENT"

Looks like I'm gonna tow down to Haddam meadows Sunday morning. What time are you other guys launching? Also HD, if you can get away for a quick ride I'll be glad to pick you up somewhere along the way upriver. Just let me know, I'll get you my cell#.

My co pilot called today and wants to launch at the Hartford Yacht club in So Glastonbury. He's a member there and it's closer for us. We're gonna launch there and head for Haddam. See you guys at on the river.

Very nice pics.. Nice Checkmates I must say.. It looks like there were some very fast boats out there.. And the vid came out fine with those Jetboat fly-bys... Keep up the good work.:thumb:

Hope so! You know where to find us, Gildersleeve or Dart Island, just wave me down if you see me moving! 225, those are some nice vids for a cell phone. Makes me want to get my outboard going (200 Merc on a Baja 210}...I know but it was cheap!! Hope you can make it out to the river next year, you can't miss seeing Franz out there and I'm gonna make a better attempt to get out more. Franz, would love to see your pics. if you post them to photobucket I can get them on here for ya or walk you through it. I'm a big dummy with computers and I figured it out.
 
Connecticut River

I think Propshafted hit it on the nail,with the hot boats that are on the River every weekend that are way above our pay grade,but are great to see and hear!!!
 
That they are! I doubt that I will ever be sporting anything like that but the Convincor is like my underwear...clean and paid for.
 
Winter Sleep

It sure is sad to drive by my Convincor all wrapped up for the winter sleep,but knowing the only thing needed to get her on the water is a fast cleaning and some wax!!! I sure wish some more Checkmate owners could attend the Scream and Fly event on the Connecticut River,along with502,225,Andy's Ride and myself next year!!! This coming year if possible I will be spending more time down at the beach near Cobalt Marine because it offers some shade for my light skinned wife and grandson!!! I hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving and the coming Holiday's bring everything desired,but being free on the water with our dependable Mates is a pretty big gift!!! Let get a cruise together in 2012 to show off our rides!!!

Yep, I really am missing the river already. I am going on one of those "River Cruises" next week on the Lady Catherine, so at least I can get a taste of the water. I will try and take some pics.

I was there in my checkmate replacement.
Had a great time. hopefully it won't be long before I have
my next checkmate. My next will be better than my last, HotDaddy can
vouch for my last and I think he will agree that it was hot boat. The
boat he has now is sweet.
