Enforcer Floor resto

I must say your doing great work there, I can't believe the work some members do to their boats, I'm afraid if I ever tore my boat apart like that I would never get it back together and would have to pay some one to do it, reading threads like this sure makes a guy what to try to do it though.

Thanks John!! Lots of measurements and pictures helps and we probably make it look easy as well.

Nice job. I'm impressed as well how fast you are moving along. You'll be ready to hit the water before it warms up at this rate.

Nice job on not just sticking carpet down over the new floor. That will be so much easier to keep clean. Are you going to use a snap down carpet?

I've never bothered with mine. Maybe I'll use it some next year when I know I'm not going to be at the beach.

Thanks!!! I'll add snap down carpet later. I'm liking this "rinse the boat down without carpet" concept, plus it looks cleaner. :thumb:

Rolling right along, I got the second coat of Ultra Tuff on the floor and decided to do the bilge area and the back of the transom. I need to finish rolling above the horizontal braces. I also added the third coat of red on the transom. Here's some pictures from today:

AND HOW! I've never hid the fact that mine is properly the most beat on and beat up checkie out there. All I know is when I turn the key, It goes!!!
It really needs a yr off the water and a cap off resto. Not by me but maybe the next guy.( LOOKING FOR A GOOD CHEAP RESTO WITH A CLASSIC ENGINE)

Your mate wouldn't be a bad resto project if I had a enclosed garage where I could take it completely apart like sun time is doing his. The tedious part of a resto is tearing it apart and prepping to get it ready for the rebuild and the most time consuming.

CM

Great work on your rebuild!

How would you rate the Tuff Coat against using gel coat in the bilge and
on floor? I am in the final stages of my rebuild before putting the cap back on and then paint.

JT while nothing can replace gelcoat, the tuff coat is a great alternative for the floor and bilge area. The prep is the key to laying this stuff down. I bought the primer to go with it which they recommend. Also rough up the surface with 36 or 40 grit prior to rolling the product on. I'm pleased with the way it turned out. Damn I sound like a salesman for them. LOL!!!!

Looks great C170! You better bring that thing up to LKN this spring. Maybe Big Red can be your boat biatch....since he no longer has a Checkmate!

I forgot to mention the ss bolts, nylon nuts for my gil bracket and the wire for my rewiring job came in last week. A friend of mine fabricated a aluminum plate 20"x24"x1/4" to go inside the transom. That should distribute the load from the gil bracket and motor, hopefully. I'm hoping to add the black stripe across the back this weekend then do some color sanding and buffing once the paint cures. Then the process of rerigging, rewiring and putting the interior back together. Oh the joy of boat ownership never ends.:eyecrazy:

A few items I got done today, added the black stripe across the back, mounted the battery trays and the fuel filter. Also painted the wing walls and the sides white in the back area of the boat. I started sorting the wire mess the PO left and it's a cluster f___!!! Here's a few pictures:

Alrighty!!!! So much for global warming!! It's flipping cold down south so I'm going to my backup plan. I've don't have an enclosed garage only a carport my mate sits underneath. So i'll go the redneck route and add tarps to enclosed it and crank up the propane heat.:D The weatherman is calling for snow down here at the end of the week, nuts I say.

I have been throwing extra tires on the fire to help that warming out for you bro! It could have been that deal I made with the devil also about reversal of weather to pay the southerns back for warm weather year round!! It might have worked because its almost 80 and sunny up here.....Almost!
