I just got in a new 21 Liberator. Going to Australia

I must say, That is slick.. I hate to ask, what you would charge to paint my 20 footer. Do you give member discounts.. Joking. Again,, You do good work. :thumb:

It would depend on how much work needs to be done and what kind of design. This one was $4600. $1400 was materials. Labor worked out to a little under $30 an hour, which kinda sucks, but it is what it is!

Randy do you use PPG or Dupont products or some other high end paint? My supplies cost about $700.00 and using dupont bc/cc 2 stage.

So,if i can recall,Boat and trailer starts at 22900$plus 4500$paint job.Are gauges,bracket and harware icluded in base price?Other than motor,is it complete ?

I use PPG and House of Kolor. There is 9 quarts of clear on the boat at almost $300 a gallon, I put alot on so that it's thick enough for all the sanding and buffing I do. None of the stripes can be felt. It's as smooth as gelcoat. Also, the pearl paints are over $100 a quart. There is 5 colors. The orange took 2 quarts. There is also the base colors that go under the pearls, also over $100 a quart. Then, you figuer that I used about 18-20 rolls of "Good Tape" at $7-$9 a roll. Then you have the paper and sandpaper. The wetsand discs I use are 65 cents a piece. Probably used about 70-80 discs.

I put the $22,900 on my website 6 years ago. It's a few grand more now. That is a bare hull and seats on a single axel trailer. The only thing on the boat is a rubrail and bow and stern eyes. It is also an all white boat.

I forgot to add the tape, sandpaper, sanding discs and rolls of paper for the boat. That added another $200 plus dollars right there.:D Thanks for sharing that was nice of you to do that!!:thumb

Randy,I'm amazed at the quality of your work .I just got to see one in person. :bigthumb:
I seen this one when I stopped in a week ago. Even tho it was only in the mid coat clear at the time, his work was amazing. I saw the finished work on his 30 Lib and it had me drooling  It also has me looking at cats now :brickwall: ;)

awsome job Randy...I've worked with 3 different custom painters over the years so I do know whats involved....not many do...Rob

Only the small flake. The big stuff plugs up the paint gun.

Not to derail further, so when ya get bored maybe start a thread called "Wildman's bada$$ boats & paint jobs"! I'm very interested in seeing the flake jobs.... :thumb:
