LAKE CUMBERLAND OWNERS RALLY 2013

Just got another lake update from Dad. He says they still have the dam cranked open to lower the level AND help generate electricity for everybody cranking the A/C in this little heat wave. So the debris has cleared up quite a bit!! But still be careful out there as there is still some!! See y'all Saturday!!

Current lake level 710' only down about 1' from last saturday. Plenty of room to run !!!

I can make a sign to hold up if that would help,LOL!

Lake level is 709' today. They are making room for more rain. :shakehead:
60% chance for saturday.

In about 10 hours Helmich's plane will be touching down in Cincy and then we'll be on out way.
Hopefully we don't get much rain. If we do I hope it's not as big of a storm as last year.

Well, weather isn't looking good for Saturday.. 60% chance of storms, some of them severe according to the local radio station. Praying that it changes, if it doesn't, this will be the third year in a row that I have been at the lake rally weekend and NOT made the rally. I really don't want that to happen!!

They said that last weekend and all the storms just clipped us and had about 15 mins of rain Saturday and about 30mins Sunday. You never know here? But ill be down Saturday I'm riding with Max (2tonchevy) on the 2800! Looking forward to meeting everyone. Ill be bringing some of that ky white lightning if the boozes get low. Lol!

Anyone staying near the jamestown marina? If I stay in the cuddy, I usually shower there. I may get a room though, not sure. Depends on rain situation.

The majority of people are staying at Grider Hill. Corey may be close to jamestown. I'm sure he'll chime in if he is.

I have been following this thread and lately seeing a lot of chatter on facebook from some of you over this fun event. if we didn't just put a bunch of money into the house and the boat motor we would be there to enjoy the rally with you all but unfortunately not this year. first off I hope john and helmich have a safe trip and you guys make this weekend the best it could be for them as far as they are traveling(I am sure you all will). that being said, I hope you all have a blast down there and just be safe.:bigthumb:

have a beer or 10 for me:cheers:

We are having a good time already. Its raining for a minute now but is cooling things down nicely. There are 3 of the Check gang here so far and will be glad to meet all the others soon. This place is amazing and glad we made the trip. We had a heat index of 100 today so bring plenty to drink we did.:cheers::cool::cheers::cheers:

I just had my first! I'm in room 203 at the bldg that is split between boat launch and the lodge. White Subaru out front.

That's what the owners of your favorite tow vessel are doing.

I talked to him today, I will try to get close to you all using slip numbers. The new water hose is installed, re tightened all clamps from the slight over heat, greased bearings, and most importantly the cooler is packed. we will be on our way at 7am in the morning putting us there about noon right after dropping off the per schooler
